The Sigma Beta Clubs’ four major principles of focus are: Culture, Athletics, Social, and Educational.
As a member of Sigma Beta Club, under the guidance of members of Zeta Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., young men meet on a regular basis to plan, organize, and implement social, educational, health and financial awareness programs within the community. Working, at times, side by side with members of Sigma, these young men, will learn the ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service -- principles on which Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded.
The club offers unique opportunities to develop values, leadership skills along with social/cultural awareness in our youth during their developmental years. SBC programs are geared to meet the needs of its members, but at the same time provide them with a well-rounded outlook that is required to meet life challenges.

Sigma Beta Club is a Phi Beta Sigma, Inc. youth affiliated mentoring program for male youths between the ages 8 and 18. The Sigma Beta Club (SBC) was established under the direction of Dr. Parlette L. Moore in the early 1950's. The SBC was founded based on concerns about the changing needs in our communities and recognizing the important role that Sigma men could play in the lives of our male youth ages 8 to 18 years old.
